Burke Museum
A Visit to the Burke Museum of Natural History in Seattle I recently had the chance to visit the Burke Museum of Natural History in Seattle, and I was really impressed! The museum itself is smaller than I expected, but it's packed full of interesting exhibits. From dinosaurs and fossils to Native American artifacts, there's something for everyone at the Burke Museum.
One of the first things you'll see when you walk into the museum is the dinosaur exhibit. The exhibit features life-sized replicas of some of the most popular dinosaurs, like Tyrannosaurus Rex and Triceratops. You can even learn about how these massive creatures lived and breathed. If you're not a fan of dinosaurs, don't worry - there are plenty of other exhibits to keep you entertained.
I also enjoyed the Native American artifacts exhibit. The Burke Museum has one of the largest collections of Native American artifacts in Washington state. The exhibit includes everything from traditional clothing and jewelry to everyday items like baskets and tools. I was really intrigued by the story behind each artifact.
The last exhibit I want to mention is the fossil collection. The Burke Museum has a wide variety of fossils on display, from tiny shells to massive whale bones. Some of the fossils are even millions of years old! I could have spent hours looking at all of the different fossils, but unfortunately, I didn't have that much time.
If you're ever in Seattle, I would definitely recommend checking out the Burke Museum of Natural History. Even if you're not a huge history buff, I think you'll enjoy exploring all of the different exhibits. It's a great way to spend an afternoon!
